Those comments were only one part of the reaction, however. Other viewers focused less on choosing a winner and more on how unexpectedly familiar the side-by-side looked.

One person reduced that reaction to a single word: “Twins.” Another pushed back against the comparison altogether, writing, “🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 there is NO comparison.”

The disagreement continued from there. “Not even in the same ballpark. Sorry but no comparison should ever be made like this again. Ever!” another viewer wrote.

The viewer rejected the side-by-side entirely, suggesting the 2 royal looks were too different to be judged against each other. | Source: Instagram

Rather than producing one clear verdict, the comments moved between choosing Camilla, rejecting the comparison, and simply reacting to the resemblance itself. And while viewers were still focused on the 2 full-length looks, Catherine’s closer photographs introduced another royal connection altogether.

This time, the clue was not around her neck, but at her ears.

Then a Second Royal Connection Changed the Look Again

Catherine completed the Digger look with Princess Diana’s Collingwood Pearl Drop Earrings, which were given to Diana by Collingwood as a wedding gift in 1981.

Catherine first began wearing the diamond-and-pearl earrings years ago and has since returned to them for major royal occasions. At Digger, they appeared alongside the Queen Mother’s necklace, bringing different generations of royal jewelry into the same close-up.
