Princess Catherine Steps Out in a Look Strikingly Similar to Queen Camilla’s — Sparking Royal Déjà Vu and a “Who Wore It Better?” Debate — Photo

Some royal photographs seem to belong firmly to their era. Then, years later, a new picture appears and suddenly makes an old one feel almost like a preview.

That is exactly what happened after the royal world premiere of Digger in London on September 22, 2026. But to understand why the latest photographs caused such a stir, the story has to begin 15 years earlier — with a different Prince of Wales walking the red carpet beside his wife.

A 2013 Royal Moment Just Came Back

In October 2012, Prince Charles and Camilla, then the Duchess of Cornwall, arrived at the royal world premiere of Skyfall. Camilla chose a dramatic purple velvet Bruce Oldfield gown, while Charles stood beside her in black tie.

Her Bruce Oldfield dress had the kind of rich, formal feel associated with a traditional royal premiere. Yet the piece that would eventually connect that evening to another generation sat around Camilla’s neck.
