2. A Gentler Homemade Rosemary and Ginger Hair Rinse
If you enjoy experimenting with botanical hair care, a simple rosemary and ginger infusion is an alternative to mixing several potent spices directly into shampoo.
This preparation is intended as an occasional cosmetic rinse. It is not a proven hair growth treatment.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (240 ml) of clean water
- 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary leaves, or a small sprig of fresh rosemary
- 2–3 thin slices of fresh ginger
- A small saucepan
- A clean strainer
Cinnamon and cloves are deliberately left out of this gentler version because they can increase the risk of scalp irritation. Adding more ingredients does not necessarily make a hair treatment more effective.
How to Prepare It
Step 1: Heat the water.
Bring the water to a boil in a clean saucepan.
Step 2: Add the rosemary and ginger.
Add the rosemary leaves and ginger slices to the hot water. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer gently for approximately five minutes.
