This means ginger should not be presented as a proven solution for thinning hair.
Rosemary
Rosemary is one of the most widely discussed botanical ingredients in natural hair care.
A small clinical study compared rosemary oil with 2% minoxidil in people experiencing androgenetic alopecia over six months. Both groups showed an increase in hair count at the end of the study, but this does not establish that rosemary water, rosemary shampoo, or a homemade mixture produces the same results.
Rosemary essential oil is also different from an ordinary rosemary leaf infusion. The evidence for one preparation cannot automatically be applied to another.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon contains aromatic compounds, including cinnamaldehyde, that give it its characteristic smell.
Although cinnamon has been investigated for several biological properties, there is no convincing clinical evidence that cinnamon shampoo stimulates hair growth. Cinnamon and its concentrated extracts can irritate the skin or cause allergic contact dermatitis.
For this reason, cinnamon is not an ideal ingredient for a scalp treatment intended for frequent use.
