The Homemade Cloves, Ginger, Rosemary, and Cinnamon Shampoo: Recipe, Benefits, and What You Should Know

Step 3: Allow it to steep.

Remove the saucepan from the heat, cover it, and allow the mixture to steep for another 10 minutes.

Step 4: Strain the liquid.

Strain out all the plant material and allow the liquid to cool completely.

Step 5: Prepare only what you need.

Use the infusion immediately after it has cooled. Do not mix it into your regular shampoo bottle or store it for repeated use. Water-based homemade preparations can become contaminated with microorganisms, and adding water to commercial shampoo may interfere with its preservative system.

3. How to Use the Hair Rinse

If your scalp is healthy and you wish to try the infusion, follow these precautions:

  1. Wash your hair with your usual gentle shampoo.
  2. Allow your scalp to cool and settle after washing.
  3. Apply a small amount of the cooled infusion to a limited area first.
  4. If no irritation occurs, you may use a small amount as an occasional rinse.
  5. Stop immediately if you experience burning, itching, redness, or discomfort.

Because the infusion has not been established as a hair growth treatment, there is no scientifically validated application schedule or guaranteed result.
