Teen Girl’s First Boyfriend Made Her Cry over Her Arm Hair – Instead of Getting Angry, Her Father Invited Him to Dinner

I wanted to reach across the room and pull her into my arms. Every part of me wanted to tell her that she didn’t have to make this decision today.

But I remembered what Daniel had said.

Our job wasn’t to make every decision for her.

It was to help her understand that she could make one without being afraid of losing our love.

Emma wiped her cheeks.

“Yes,” she said. “I think I am.”

Tyler lowered his head.

For a moment, I expected him to argue. I expected him to tell her that she was overreacting, that he had apologized, or that she was being unfair because he had problems too.

Instead, he nodded.

“Okay.”

He stood slowly.

“I’m sorry, Emma. I really am.”

She looked at him.

“I hope things get better for you at school.”

He nodded again, then turned toward the door.

Daniel walked him out.
