“I’m not worried about Andrew.”
“Then what’s the problem?”
“You ignoring me when I ask you to respect a boundary.”
She waved that away.
“Oh, come on. If Andrew can be tempted by a woman walking through the kitchen in a towel, wouldn’t you rather know now than ten years from now?”
I felt as though someone had opened a window in winter.
Cold air rushed straight through me.
“Are you deliberately trying to tempt my husband?”
Kayla gave a little laugh.
“Don’t make it sound so dramatic.”
“Answer the question.”
“I’m seeing whether he can be tempted.”
“Those are the same thing.”
“Not necessarily.”
She leaned forward slightly, lowering her voice as though we were sharing a secret.
“Some men love being admired. They love the attention. They love knowing another woman finds them attractive.”
I stared at her.
“And you think my husband needs that from you?”
She smiled.
