My mother-in-law tore my dress in half in my own kitchen in front of twenty people and shouted that her son had paid for everything in it. Then I put my phone down on the counter and let it run.

PART 3 — WHAT HR FOUND

The recording was not why Marco lost his job.

I want that clear, because people assume I sacked my husband over a dress and that is not what happened and it would not have been lawful.

He was suspended on the Wednesday pending a review, because the recording contained a sentence that triggered one.

If my son had any sense he’d have protected all of this before you ruined him.

Nuria, my CFO, heard that at about eleven at night and rang me back in four minutes and said one word: “Protected?”

The review took nine days.

Since 2022, Ruta Alba has used a subcontractor called Servicios Bram for regional haulage on three corridors.

Servicios Bram is owned by Rubén Ibarra.

Delfina’s brother. Marco’s uncle. The man who was in my kitchen that night, standing behind her, saying nothing.

Over three years we paid Servicios Bram about six hundred and ten thousand dollars above the comparable rate on those corridors.

Marco approved every one of those contracts. He was a director. He had authority up to a limit and every single one of them came in under it.

PART 4 — THE GAP I MADE

Here is the part I have had to be honest about, in a room, with my own board.
