My Husband’s Other Woman Came to My Door and Said, ‘I’m Pregnant with His Baby, and We Needed This House to Raise Our Family’

When I finished, Susan folded her hands.

“First, I want you to understand that you should not rely on Rachel’s statements or Tyler’s promises as a substitute for legal advice. We need to review the relevant documents and the applicable law before drawing conclusions about ownership, financial claims, or what might happen in a divorce.”

I nodded.

“That’s what I want.”

“Second, do not sign anything you don’t fully understand. Don’t agree to transfer property, move money, or make major financial decisions under pressure. We can review your options and determine the appropriate steps.”

“What about our joint accounts?”

“We’ll examine the account structure and the source of the funds. If you believe there is a risk of unauthorized transactions, we can discuss lawful ways to protect your interests and preserve the records.”

For the first time, I felt that the situation was becoming manageable.

Not easy.

Not painless.

But manageable.
