My Husband’s Other Woman Came to My Door and Said, ‘I’m Pregnant with His Baby, and We Needed This House to Raise Our Family’

“You did more than hurt me. You let me believe our marriage was simply going through a difficult period while you built another life with someone else. Then you promised her a home that you had no right to offer without my agreement.”

“I wasn’t thinking clearly.”

“That is not an explanation.”

He wiped his face.

“Please. We have children together. We have a history.”

“Yes, Tyler. We do.”

My voice softened, but my decision did not.

“We have eighteen years of memories. That is exactly why I deserved honesty.”

He looked at the wedding photograph hanging near the hallway.

“I never wanted to lose you.”

I followed his gaze.

For a moment, I remembered the young man in that photograph. The man who had held my hand in the rain after our wedding reception because we had forgotten to bring an umbrella. The man who had promised me that whatever happened in life, we would always face it together.
