My Husband’s Mistress Sent Me a Photo and Wrote, “YOUR TIME IS OVER. HE’S MINE NOW!” Three Weeks Later, She Fell to Her Knees at My Door, Begging Me to Save Her Daughter

He agreed to meet us that afternoon.

Before leaving the house, I called my bank and asked to speak to the fraud department. I explained that I had discovered a loan application bearing a signature I believed to be forged.

The employee who took my call immediately placed restrictions on certain transactions while the bank investigated the matter.

I also requested copies of our recent account activity and asked whether any loans or liens had been recorded against our property.

Then I called Emily.

When I told her what we had found, she insisted on coming with us.

“Mom, this is no longer just about Dad having an affair,” she said. “If he’s using your name without permission, you need to protect yourself.”

“I know.”

“Do you?”

I was quiet.

Emily softened her voice.

“I’m not asking you to hate him. I’m asking you not to let your memories make you ignore what he’s doing now.”
