My Husband Moved His Mistress Into My House—But Neither of Them Knew What I Had Discovered

“I don’t think he’s going to hurt me.”

“You don’t know what he’s capable of, Claire. That’s the problem.”

She was right.

I had spent years measuring Richard by the man he had been when I met him.

But the man standing in my living room was someone I barely recognized.

Margaret arranged for a security consultant to review the situation and advised me to secure my personal accounts, change my passwords, and preserve the original documents. We also contacted the appropriate authorities regarding the suspicious transfers and the threat.

I didn’t want revenge so badly that I would risk destroying evidence or putting another person in danger.

I wanted the truth.

And I wanted it documented.

That night, I moved the original property deed and my personal documents into a secure location. I also arranged for a trusted neighbor to check on the house and agreed on a simple code word with Margaret in case I needed urgent assistance.
