EVERY NIGHT MY SON TOOK A SHOWER AT 3 A.M-

Every night at exactly three in the morning, my son turned on the shower. I thought he was struggling with insomnia until I discovered the horrifying reason behind that strange routine.

I was seventy-two years old when I learned that the little boy I had raised, protected, and loved more than life itself had become someone I no longer recognized.

His name was Julian. He was forty-three, a successful financial consultant, and the kind of man neighbors praised for his generosity. His wife, Clara, was thirty-eight and painfully quiet.

I had moved into their beautiful suburban home after breaking my hip. Julian insisted that living alone was dangerous, and Clara warmly prepared the downstairs guest bedroom for me.

For the first few weeks, everything seemed wonderful. Julian brought me tea each evening, Clara helped with my medications, and we ate dinner together beneath the expensive chandelier.

But something strange happened every night. At precisely three o’clock, water began rushing through the bathroom pipes. Sometimes it lasted fifteen minutes. Sometimes nearly an hour.
