I Compared His Size to My Ex — He Sent Me a Measuring Tape and Divorce Papers

I should have reassured David that he was the man I’d chosen, the man I loved.

Instead, I let my own anger and frustration take control.

The words came out before I could stop them, cruel and calculated to cause maximum damage.

I told David that if he really wanted to know, Marcus was bigger than him in every way that mattered.

The moment those words left my mouth, I knew I’d crossed a line that couldn’t be uncrossed.

David went completely still.

The color drained from his face as if I had physically struck him. For a long moment, he just stared at me with an expression of pure disbelief, like he was seeing me for the first time and didn’t recognize what he was looking at.

Then, without another word, he turned and walked out of the room.

I’d used his deepest insecurity as a weapon, and weapons always leave wounds.
