Her Giant Python Slept Beside Her Every Night—Until a Veterinarian Watched One Video and Ordered Her to Run

That evening, she sent the video to Edoardo.

A few minutes later, he called her.

“Camilla, where are you right now?”

“At home. Why?”

“Are you alone?”

“Yes. What’s wrong?”

“Listen carefully. I need you to leave the house and go somewhere safe. Don’t approach Dorato, and don’t try to handle him.”

Her stomach tightened.

“What are you talking about?”

“I watched your video three times.”

“And?”

“I can’t tell you what’s happening from a recording. But I noticed something in the background that concerns me.”

“What did you see?”

“Go outside first.”

“Edoardo, stop frightening me!”

“I’m not trying to frighten you. I’m trying to make sure you don’t put yourself at risk while we figure this out.”

His voice was so serious that Camilla stopped arguing.

She took her keys, left the house, and waited in her car across the street.

Edoardo arrived twenty minutes later.

He didn’t go inside immediately. Instead, he walked around the exterior of the building, examining the windows and the rear entrance.
