After washing, place the lemons on a clean cutting board.
Step 2: Roll the Lemons
Before cutting the lemons, roll each one gently on the countertop.
Use the palm of your hand and roll the lemon backward and forward for about 15 to 20 seconds.
This gentle pressure helps loosen the juice inside the lemon and can make squeezing easier.
You do not need to press extremely hard. A gentle but firm rolling motion is enough.
Step 3: Cut the Lemons
Cut the lemon into two halves.
If you are making the drink for guests, you can also save a few thin lemon slices for decoration.
The slices can be placed directly into the pitcher or added to individual serving glasses.
Step 4: Extract the Juice
Use a citrus juicer to squeeze the juice from both lemon halves.
Collect the juice in a clean container.
Check the juice and remove any seeds before adding it to the water.
