“I saw him lean against her again after you spoke to him. She moved away, but there wasn’t anywhere else for her to go.”
Lucas stared at her.
“You weren’t even paying attention!”
“I was sitting right here,” she replied. “I saw it.”
The man beside her added, “I heard the comments earlier too. He was making jokes about her complaining.”
Lucas’s face reddened.
“Why is everybody getting involved?”
I looked directly at him.
“Because you made sure everybody could hear you when you were making fun of me.”
Nobody laughed.
Curtis turned toward Lucas.
“Sir, I warned you to respect her personal space. You’ve now had another incident reported, and there are witnesses. I need to document what happened.”
Lucas suddenly looked much less confident.
He reached into his bag, pulled out his shirt, and put it on.
“There. Is that what you wanted?”
Curtis shook his head.
“The issue isn’t simply what you’re wearing. The issue is that you’ve continued pressing against another passenger after she asked you to stop.”
