A Gynecologist’s Patient Told Her, ‘I’m Pregnant with Your Husband’s Baby. You Need to Divorce Him!’ – The Next Morning, the Patient Called Her, Screaming, ‘What Did You Do?!’

“You made it impossible to settle this privately when you decided to bring another woman into my marriage.”

Then he looked at me.

“Let’s go, Ness.”

I took his hand.

As we walked toward the door, Margaret called after him.

“If you leave now, don’t expect me to welcome you back as though nothing happened!”

Roy stopped.

For a moment, I thought the old pattern would return. I imagined him turning around, apologizing, and promising to make everything right at his mother’s expense.

Instead, he looked at her sadly.

“I’m not asking you to pretend nothing happened. I’m asking you to take responsibility for what you did. When you’re ready to do that, we can talk.”

Then we left.

For the first time in twelve years, Roy didn’t look back.

The following week was harder than I expected.

Roy barely slept. He kept replaying the recording, trying to reconcile the mother who had raised him with the woman who had planned to destroy his marriage.
