Hamza ignored the lawyer.
He turned toward Malik.
“So you have been keeping our father here while he secretly prepares to give you everything?”
Malik stood up.
“No one is giving me everything.”
“Don’t lie to me! I know about the property.”
“Then you should also know that Father is using it to help me start a business. I will have to work for it, and I will be responsible for the debts and expenses involved.”
Hamza laughed bitterly.
“Of course. The youngest son gets the opportunity while the rest of us are left with nothing.”
Suleiman’s voice cut through the room.
“Nothing?”
Everyone fell silent.
“When I had money, you came to me for cars, houses, loans, and business opportunities. When I lost my health and needed help, you came with documents for me to sign.”
Hamza shifted uncomfortably.
“I was trying to protect your interests.”
“Perhaps. But you never once asked whether I was frightened, whether I was in pain, or whether I needed someone to sit beside me.”
