I brought the recording, the apartment paperwork, the purchase documents Grayson had given me, and every email I could find relating to the property.
She listened without interrupting.
When it ended, she removed her glasses.
“Have you told your husband you know?”
“No.”
“His mother?”
“No.”
“Good. Keep it that way until we’ve reviewed the documents. Don’t threaten them, don’t confront them, and don’t make any decisions about the apartment without advice.”
I nodded.

“Have you ever seen the source of the money used to buy this property?”
“Grayson said it came from his savings and an inheritance.”
