She Kept Throwing Her $800 Hair Extensions Into My Food on the Plane—So I Taught Her a Lesson She Would Never Forget

Kelly arrived and looked at the tray.

Her professional smile disappeared.

“Ma’am, could you please keep your hair in your own seating area? It’s interfering with the passenger behind you.”

Brittany rolled her eyes.

“Fine. Whatever.”

Kelly removed my tray and promised to bring me another meal.

Brittany immediately turned back to her phone.

“Apparently, I’m not allowed to have hair on this plane anymore.”

She flicked her head backward.

“Oops.”

I closed my eyes.

Patience, I reminded myself. Patience is a virtue.

But even virtues have limits.

Kelly returned with a replacement meal. I thanked her, placed my phone in my bag, and began eating.

For approximately two minutes, everything was peaceful.

I had also ordered a small glass of white wine because I have never particularly enjoyed flying. Whenever turbulence begins, I find myself holding my glass with both hands as if it were a sacred object.

The aircraft shook gently.
