My Wife and Stepdaughter Planned Their Future While I Had Only 3 Days Left to Live… They Never Realized I Was Awake, Recording Every Word

PART 3

The crisp recording began with faint ambient hospital noise, followed immediately by Amber’s distinct voice speaking: “Hold on just a little longer. In three days, everything will finally belong to me.”

Then Ruby’s voice chimed in clearly: “I will keep the sports coupe. That old man will not even know the difference.”

Not a single guest moved a muscle. Several people quickly lowered their gaze to the floor, while others stared directly at Amber as if seeing her true face for the very first time. The audio recording played on, capturing detailed plans to sell off private apartments, discard Barbara’s vintage furniture, cut down on funeral costs, and trick Calvin into signing broad legal documents while heavily medicated.

Elias finally turned off the portable speaker. The gentle sound of wild birds drifted through the open window, accompanied by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee from the kitchen. The peaceful routine of the morning made the cruel reality of the recording seem far more shocking to everyone present.

“That recording is completely illegal!” Amber shrieked loudly, springing up from her seat. “You cannot record private conversations like that!”

Paula Neff walked out calmly from the adjoining hallway to address the host.

“Calvin recorded conversations that he was directly involved in, and Elias recorded comments made right in front of his face,” Paula clarified coolly. “You are welcome to dispute the matter in a court of law, but you should listen to the rest of the legal updates before making foolish threats.”

Amber’s face turned pale. Ruby stood up abruptly to defend herself.

“I was not being serious at all!” Ruby cried out nervously. “We were just completely desperate! We genuinely thought he was going to pass away.”

“You brought prospective buyers right into my garage,” Calvin reminded her sternly. “You told them that I would no longer care about the car very soon.”

“Because you promised that car to me!” Ruby yelled back.
