My Husband’s Other Woman Came to My Door and Said, ‘I’m Pregnant with His Baby, and We Needed This House to Raise Our Family’

He glanced past me into the hallway.

“Can I come inside?”

After a moment, I stepped aside.

We sat in the living room, opposite each other.

Tyler looked at the photographs on the mantelpiece.

“I keep thinking about the children,” he said.

“So do I.”

“I never wanted them to find out this way.”

“Neither did I.”

He rubbed his hands together.

“Rachel and I argued after she left here. She said I had lied to her.”

I looked at him.

“Had you?”

He hesitated.

“I told her we would have a future together.”

“That isn’t what I asked.”

He sighed.

“I told her things would be easier than they actually are.”

I leaned back.

“That sounds familiar.”

He winced.

“I deserve that.”

I didn’t respond.

After a moment, he continued.

“I thought if I could get everyone through the transition, we could avoid all this fighting.”

I stared at him.
