My Husband’s Other Woman Came to My Door and Said, ‘I’m Pregnant with His Baby, and We Needed This House to Raise Our Family’

“He hasn’t.”

Her eyes widened.

“What?”

“He hasn’t spoken to me about separating. Not once.”

For the first time since she had entered my house, Rachel looked genuinely uncertain.

She recovered quickly.

“Maybe he was waiting for the right time.”

“Perhaps.”

I walked toward the front door and opened it.

“Rachel, I’d like you to leave now.”

She stared at me.

“We haven’t finished talking.”

“I believe we have.”

“Tyler said you would be difficult.”

I looked directly into her eyes.

“Then perhaps you should ask yourself why he sent you here alone.”

For several seconds, neither of us moved.

Finally, Rachel stepped onto the porch.

Before I closed the door, she turned back.

“You have a few hours to think about it, Debra. Tyler will be coming over later, and I think you’ll find that arguing won’t change anything.”

I held the door open.

“Have a good day, Rachel.”
