My Husband’s Mistress Sent Me a Photo and Wrote, “YOUR TIME IS OVER. HE’S MINE NOW!” Three Weeks Later, She Fell to Her Knees at My Door, Begging Me to Save Her Daughter

David turned to me.

“As for your home, do not sign any new financial documents connected to Robert until the bank has completed its review. Preserve every message and every version of the paperwork. Don’t confront him about the suspected signature until we understand what evidence we have.”

I nodded.

For the first time since receiving the photograph, I felt that I had something solid beneath my feet.

We had a plan.

But Robert wasn’t finished.

Two days later, he called me.

“Margaret, we need to talk.”

I was sitting at the kitchen table, organizing bank statements.

“About what?”

“About the house.”

My fingers stopped moving.

“What about it?”

“There are some financial complications. I may need you to sign a document.”

I almost laughed.

“Robert, you are going to have to be more specific.”

“It’s a routine matter.”

“Then you won’t mind sending the paperwork to my lawyer.”

There was a long silence.
