That Tuesday evening began with me chopping carrots and thinking I was preparing an ordinary dinner.
It ended with police cars outside a pediatric clinic.
But the moment that changed everything happened much earlier.
It happened when my little girl looked up at me and asked:
“Mommy, can I stop taking Grandma’s pills?”
I am grateful every day that I stopped chopping carrots.
