🐱 Did you know your cat may rub against you for a very interesting reason?

When your cat rubs its head or body against your legs, it isn’t always just asking for food or attention.

Cats have scent glands around their cheeks, forehead, and body. When they rub against you, they can leave some of their scent behind.

It can be a way of saying:

❤️ “You are familiar to me.”
🏠 “You are part of my safe environment.”
🐾 “I trust you.”

So the next time your cat walks over and starts rubbing against your legs, don’t push it away too quickly.

That little gesture may be one of the ways your cat shows affection and recognizes you as part of its world. 🥰🐱
