His career eventually stretched across generations, with younger audiences discovering his voice in animated productions and video games even if they had never seen Rocky Horror.
Then, in 2012, Curry suffered a major stroke that left him using a wheelchair. Despite the enormous challenge, he continued participating in creative projects and returned to Rocky Horror in a different role for the 2016 television remake.
His career had already been remarkable.

On August 25, 2026, Tim Curry died at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 80. His manager confirmed his death, while no cause was publicly disclosed.
