A Man on a Train Took off His Shirt and Kept Pressing His Sweaty Torso Against a Woman – Until She Put Her Plan Into Action, Making Him Scream, ‘Please, Don’t! Don’t Do This to Me!’

Lucas glanced at my screen.

“What are you doing?”

“Making a note.”

“About me?”

I didn’t answer.

He leaned back and laughed.

“Seriously? You’re wasting your time.”

I continued typing.

For the first time since the journey began, I wasn’t thinking about how to make the situation less awkward for him.

I was thinking about how to protect my own peace.

Then a woman sitting across the aisle leaned toward me.

“I saw him do that,” she whispered.

I looked up.

“You did?”

She nodded.

“I saw him lean against you again after the conductor left.”

Relief washed over me, followed almost immediately by frustration.

“Why didn’t you say anything earlier?”

My tone came out sharper than I intended.

The woman looked embarrassed.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t want him arguing with me too.”

I understood that feeling.

I had spent most of my life avoiding confrontations because I worried about what other people might think of me.
